The South Sydney Rugby League club has had a consistent and very successful presence in the game of Rugby League since its inception in 1908. Sure, there have been some difficult periods, BUT, South Sydney faced its greatest challenge in the late 1990s, when a combination of greed, power and ambition would remove the Rabbitohs from the Rugby League competition.
What followed next, was an epic battle between an army of businessman, lawyers and the media on one side – AND, on the other side, an army that no-one bothered to listen to! This army, were the supporters of the South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club.
