It was the most divisive period in Rugby League’s history. Fans, players, officials and clubs turned on each other and behind the scenes, the Packers took on the Murdochs.

For most people, hostilities began on April 1st 1995, but the truth is that the divisions had begun many years before.

A so-called ‘peace’ was reached in 1997, but what was the cost? Hundreds of millions of dollars ripped up, friendships destroyed and a cynical fan base that will take a long time to win back. Will it ever happen again?

Journalist and author Mike Coleman joins us to help answer all these questions.
